Module/course Summary

Cartier, HEC Paris and ESCP business school launched the Turning Points research Chair in 2021, to study the structural societal and environmental challenges in the world of Luxury. In line with the work of the Chair, the objective of this specialisation is to give student the knowledge and tools necessary to lead a successful career in the luxury industry, whether in retail, sales, or HR, finance and consulting.
This specialisation aims at giving a panorama of the industry, adopting a cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural approach.
The luxury industry is not uniform, and different sectors, such as luxury hospitality require different considerations compared with traditional luxury goods.
The specialisation has been designed to combine academic foundations related to luxury (e.g. luxury consumer behaviour), empirical illustrations of best practices in the industry, as well as upcoming challenges resulting from the ongoing digital transformation and beyond (Metaverse, Blockchain and NFTs, Big Data…).
The specialisation also features a ‘live case’ on a luxury company, inviting students to apply their skills to a real-world example.
