Module/course Summary

Italian and European entrepreneurial ecosystems, with their texture of family-run businesses, represent a landmark of impact entrepreneurship. Despite their nature of locally grounded ventures, family businesses proved extremely long-lived and impactful. This course’s purpose is to introduce students to the important topics and particularities of family enterprise, both in order to help them in their decision-making regarding their own implication in the family firm, and to help make their eventual entry satisfactory and successful. Frequent case studies, meetings and seminars with family entrepreneurs, scholars and researchers in the family business will be organized for the entire duration of the course, as a mean to put together theoretical and practical implications.
