Please note this course is ONLINE in the Fall Semester and ON SITE in the Spring Semester

We are witnessing a unique phenomenon. On the one hand, it has never been easier to work remotely due to the development of mobile technologies. So teleworking is on the rise... especially with the pandemic where it has suddenly become the norm rather than the exception. However, telework is not so simple and presents societal, organizational and managerial challenges. 

This course aims to prepare the students to face the challenges of these new forms of work organization.

As work becomes first and foremost an activity, and not a place you go to, managers have to change their management style. The key word is trust, but it cannot be imposed, and building a relationship of trust remotely is not so easy. With the pandemic, managers and their employees have discovered, for some of them in a brutal way, the challenges of virtual leadership.
We are now moving from telework to hybrid management which entails specific challenges such as integration of new team members, team cohesion, communication, etc. 
This course has been specifically designed to operate in a fully digital mode, which is also relevant because of the topics addressed. 

Pre-requisite

No pre-requisite in terms of courses. However, students will benefit more from the course if they have had a previous working experience in a company.
