Module/course Summary

A student who attends this specialization in one campus will not be allowed to attend it a second time on another campus.


The specialization in Investment Banking Tools and Techniques is an advanced but generalist program in finance. The module complements MIM
program’s current curriculum, by introducing students to the essential concepts of corporate finance, firm valuation, financial markets microstructure, asset pricing and investment banking. The curriculum consists of the following compulsory courses, namely: 
1) Applied Financial Analysis and firm evaluation (15 hours);  2) M&A techniques, L.B.O. (30 hours); 3) Entrepreneurial finance Venture Capital Finance and Private equity (15 hours);4) Investment Banking Activities (30 hours); 5) Financial Engineering (30 hours).


Pre-requisite

Students taking the Investment Banking Tools and Techniques specialization are expected to possess a good understanding of basic principles of finance (FF01 or FM03 or equivalent courses for double-degree students). The candidate for the specialization must upload the following documents in English :1. Motivation letter, 2. Curriculum Vitae, 3. Most updated transcript. Applications without the above documents will be considered incomplete and will not be evaluated for admission. A very good working knowledge of Microsft Excel is a necessary requirement, as this tool is extensively used throughout the specialisation.
