Module/course Summary

This course is reserved for students registered in OP90 - Innovation and Competition in High-Tech specialisation.

The course provides an overview of the contribution of technology commercialization and funding to the growth of a HIGH-TECH company. Students will learn how to bring ideas to market, and how companies can leverage on their insights to create new markets, and which factors support imagination in highly dynamic settings. 

The course addresses question related to the timing of the incorporation of a HIGH-TECH venture and first steps in financing it up to larger scale funding requirements. These questions are addressed with an approach embedded in the "field" reality enriched by concrete examples and a sharing of experiences.

Students will further learn how companies can design and implement their commercial approach to develop their markets.This course explores how companies shape, implement, and change strategies to introduce new products. It provides a set of integrated frameworks and tools to help a manager more effectively design and manage the interpretative schema, decision making processes, and operating routines in HIGH-TECH required for identifying opportunities and introducing new products.
