Module/course Summary

Large amounts of data and the possibility of using this data to make  predictions of the future or create new content is an opportunity for  corporations and startups alike. This specialization aims at  management students, who have not been exposed to data science or  similar fields of research. its ultimate goal is to enable students to gather first-hand experience in working with data-driven technology starting with enterprise systems as a major source of /structured) big data. After the specialization, students will be able to speak the language of experts in the field, know the possibilities and limitations of data in business, and participate in or lead projects involving modern enterprise systems, artificial intelligence or big data.

The specialization consists of the following courses:
•    Enterprise Systems and Future Trends (30h)
•    Leading in AI and Big data Business Innovation (30h)
•    Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (30h)
•    Big Data & Business Intelligence (30h)

We use / introduce the following tools:
•    Python - for Machine Learning and Big Data applications
•    Balsamic Mockup (or similar tool) – for creation of app click dummy
•    SAP S/4HANA – introductory course to get familiar with the software
•    ARIS – for business process modelling
•    Tableau – introduction to data visualization with tableau

Course contents will be delivered predominantly face-to-face, with some flexibility for online formats.
The specialization includes lectures, case studies, exercises, individual and group work as well as contributions by guest speakers.
The courses IX35, IX36, and IX37 include a practice-oriented group project.

Pre-requisite

For M1 students registered to this specialization, it will be mandatory to attend the Advanced Management course "Advanced Organisation and Management: Managing Change".
