Module/course Summary

This course engages students in a hands-on and interdisciplinary seminar around concepts and practice of technology entrepreneurship. Students will learn about the specificities of technology entrepreneurship projects – such as interdisciplinary work – and how state-of the-art tools from entrepreneurship and innovation can help driving this process, e.g. Effectuation, Design Thinking or Business Modelling. Students will also learn how the scope of a technology transfer process can take many forms, such as creating new ventures, licensing agreements, internal innovation projects or collaborative research and commercialization projects. The course leverages ESCP's ties within the Berlin ecosystem to allow students a first-hand practical experience that complements the conceptual knowledge. To this end, students will form interdisciplinary teams together with engineers and scientists from other research institutions in Berlin. In these teams, ESCP students will have the opportunity to experience hands-on interdisciplinary collaboration and explore their own role diverse teams by working on real life innovation topics in an entrepreneurial fashion.
