Module/course Summary

Specialization rationale
The Financial Intermediation sector, and more so the banking industry in Europe and around the world, is increasingly exposed to uncertainties associated to events such as financial crises, sovereign defaults, and, more recently, the political turmoil around Brexit, and the broader digital disruption. As a result, they are going through major changes in various fronts, including, but not limited to, Compliance and Regulations, Capital Requirements, Risk Management, and Transaction Banking Services. These organisations are actively seeking graduates who are disciplined in these fields.
The London campus of ESCP Europe Business School, enjoys the privilege of being at the heart of one of the most prominent financial hubs in the world. The City of London is home to the largest financial institutions, and thus provides an ideal location to study, network, and leverage learning through “local” experts in banking and finance. This proposed specialization in Banking and Finance complements the MIM programme’s current curriculum, while enabling students to pursue a wider range of careers in the financial services industry, and/or to further study for pertinent professional qualifications.
