Outline

Module/course Summary

Through a professionalizing training, the Option “Consulting dynamics and practices” will provide participants with the essential information necessary for a thorough understanding of this activity, and the skills essential to succeed in this domain.

The objective is to provide participants with specialized, practical and realistic training, integrating the current needs and issues in the consulting profession. This course will enable students to better prepare their candidature and their first steps into the world of consulting.

The objectives of the Option are divided along the following lines:

• Orientation: allow students to better know how to validate their professional project.
• Preparation: give students the tools to succeed during their first six months in a consulting firm, an often decisive trial period
• Behavior: provide students with behavioral codes which are essential to their integration, and an awareness of ethics.

The success of these objectives is based on three components:

• Coordination between the professors of the various courses to ensure to achieve these common goals as a team.
• Professionalization and internationalization with a training module that leads the students to complete projects in an international context.
• Interaction with consulting firms, often represented by Alumni of ESCP Europe, sharing their experiences, while encouraging students to maintain a critical perspective.
