Module/course Summary


This course is reserved for students of the specialization.

The course deals with data driven business solutions and focuses on data mining methods and digital experiments. Students will learn data analytics methodologies with a big data analytics tool – Microsoft Azure ML Studio. The goal of the course is to develop data driven business thinking though an understanding of the tools and technologies that allow firms to address the business questions and challenges in the digital era. During the course, we will review examples of data challenges from various domains and we discuss the uses of data analytics to support managerial decisions.

This Module/course participates in the achievement of the following programme objectives (Assurance of Learning):At the end of the course, students should be able to:
-  Formulate data driven business questions
-  Perform a data analytics project
-  Provide a data analytics solution to support managerial decision.
