Module/course Summary

This course offers a unique moment to learn and experience the entrepreneurial process through the Art Thinking method. Art Thinking is an agile method designed by Sylvain Bureau to create the improbable with certainty. With this method, you can create unpredictable, implausible and incredible outcomes which can address global challenges like sustainability. The goal of this method is not about answering the needs of clients or being empathetic with users. Just like artists and top entrepreneurs, your main goal is to challenge mainstream values and taken for granted assumptions. At first, you start by exploring what makes you angry, passionate or excited. Then, you can create the improbable which disturbs our minds and souls to go beyond our current ways of doing things.

Improbable is a 3-day seminar invented by Sylvian Bureau and the artist Pierre Tectin to teach the Art Thinking method. It is organized in 6 sessions, each dedicated to the 6 essential practices used to create (donate, deviate, destroy, drift, dialogue and display). Improbable seminars are a formative life experience in which participants learn to make the improbable that changes their world. They do it once, but they can do it again thanks to the Art Thinking method they have learned.
