Module/course Summary

This course provides a guide for understanding Mass Customization, including the role of Information Technology and the Internet as essential tools for its development. It combines and relates both the market and operational issues that govern the economics of Mass Customization. Examples from companies around the world are provided, including a number of in-depth corporate and functional case studies. For example, the critical fulfilment management aspect is analyzed in detail. Industries covered range from consumer products through life sciences to technology-intensive durables. Media, banking and other service sectors are also treated.
